Viral Video: These days, an American woman’s video is going viral on social media. viral After seeing what is happening, people are venting their anger on the American healthcare system and praising Indian medicines. The doctor had prescribed six pills to an American woman named Victoria. When she went to buy them, she was shocked. His insurance had refused to cover the cost of this medicine, due to which he had to pay the entire $1,000 (i.e. more than Rs 94,000) from his own pocket. It was not possible for anyone to pay such a huge amount for just six small pills.
When Victoria refused to buy such an expensive medicine, her doctor called her a wonderful device. The doctor told him to send his prescription to a Canadian pharmacy, which orders medicines directly from India. Victoria did the same. He thought that even if he ordered it from Canada, it would cost at least 100 or 200 dollars. But when she came to know the real price, she was shocked.
The woman told that the actual price of the medicine was only 10 dollars (i.e. more than Rs 946). The shipping charge for sending it from India to America was 15 dollars (i.e. Rs 1,240). In this way the total expenditure came to 25 dollars (i.e. approximately Rs 2,366). The medicine which was available in America for more than 94 thousand rupees, when ordered from India, was available at home for only 2,366 rupees.
‘Scam is going on in our country’
Enraged by this, Victoria made a video and blasted the American healthcare system. He said, America’s healthcare system is a joke. Looting is being done openly here. Why was I being asked to pay $1,000 in America for a medicine for which I paid only $10? After all, in whose pocket is all this middle money going? Everyone understands what game is going on here.
