Suman Kalyanpur started his career from Marathi cinema. In the year 1853, he sang his first song in Shukrachi Chandni. In Hindi films, he spread the magic of his voice in the film Darwaza, in this film he sang 4 songs. He has also won many awards in his name for his excellent singing.

He has made invaluable contribution in the field of music, for which he has been awarded many awards including the Gadima Award of the Gadima Foundation and the Padma Bhushan Award of the Government of India. Suman Kalyanpur’s voice was similar to Lata Mangeshkar, due to which she was also called the second Lata Mangeshkar.

Suman Kalyanpur spread the magic of her voice in other languages ​​like Hindi, Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Maithili, Bhojpuri, Rajasthani, Bengali, Odia and Punjabi. According to the information, he had sung more than 850 songs in Hindi. Singer’s famous Hindi songs include ‘Zindagi metein le hai’, ‘Behna ne bhai ki kalai mein’, ‘Aaj Kal Tere-Mere Pyar Ke Charche Har Zubaan Par’, ‘Mera Pyaar Bhi Tu Hai’, ‘Yeh Bahaar Bhi Tu Hai’, ‘Na-Na Karte Pyaar Tumhein Se Kar Baithe’ and many more.
