
The 12th International Yoga Day was celebrated in many countries around the world. On this occasion, Isha Foundation also organized several yoga sessions. The foundation conducted yoga sessions for the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Adiyogi in Coimbatore and for NCC cadets and Border Security Force (BSF) at Sadhguru Sannidhi in Bengaluru.
Speaking at the yoga session, Sadhguru, founder of Isha Foundation, said, “Twelve years is almost equal to one ‘solar cycle’. We have completed one cycle of International Yoga Day. Now it is time to take it forward, so that no one in the world remains unaware that there are ways to better themselves.”
Emphasizing the true purpose of yoga, Sadhguru said, “What we call yoga is not a philosophy, ideology, belief or religion, and it certainly does not mean contorting the body, as many believe.

This is a reminder. Just as there is science and technology for external well-being, similarly there is a complete science and technology for internal well-being also.”
Yoga is helpful in living a better life
Whatever your religion, race, caste, creed or gender, Sadhguru said, these techniques help you live your best life. It helps you to perform at your best in body, mind, emotions, intelligence and energy levels and most importantly, it brings out the hidden talent within every human being. Therefore yoga is very important in life.

50,000 people took part in yoga
On International Yoga Day, Isha Foundation also organized around 1000 free yoga and meditation sessions across India, which were attended by around 50,000 people from corporates, educational institutions, medical institutions, government bodies, defense organizations and community settings.
6 new languages added to meditation app
Participants in the yoga sessions were introduced to simple yoga and meditation techniques designed to improve physical health, mental well-being and overall quality of life.

On this special occasion, six new languages, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Italian and Nepali were added to Sadhguru’s free guided meditation app ‘Miracle of Mind’.
