Amidst the ongoing political turmoil in Maharashtra, the government has taken a big decision. Maharashtra Home Ministry has ordered the state DGP to increase the security of six rebel MPs of the Uddhav Thackeray group. According to sources, after the discussion regarding the rebellion of six MPs of Shiv Sena Thackeray faction, the government has decided to provide Y+ security to all these MPs. The State Intelligence Department (SID) has also issued orders to senior officials in this regard and the Home Department has also given instructions. According to this decision, policemen will be deployed 24 hours at the residence of every MP and security personnel will remain with them.
According to sources, there is talk in the political circles that after the press conference held yesterday by the Thackeray group, the rebel UBT MPs became more angry. The press conference did not have the expected effect but instead caused further losses to the party. The resentment of the MPs regarding the six MPs against whom objectionable comments were allegedly made during the press conference has increased further.
Reason for keeping distance from the meeting
It is being told that this resentment is also being considered an important reason for maintaining distance from the meeting. However, no official response has come from the concerned MPs in this regard. On the other hand, regarding the security of these MPs, instructions have also been given that the head of the concerned police unit should review their security arrangements in the next district or commissioner level security committee meeting.
Police officers also instructed
Along with this, decide whether it should be maintained, increased or decreased. The concerned police officers have also been directed to take necessary precautions after assessing the local situation and possible threats during the visit of these MPs in their jurisdiction.
On the other hand, Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena had called a party meeting at 11 am today. For this, a whip was issued to all the MPs yesterday. When the meeting started today, one Rajya Sabha MP and three Lok Sabha MPs were present. Now it has become clear that six MPs of Thackeray’s Shiv Sena have switched parties. Despite the party issuing a whip today, these MPs remained absent.
