
Zoho 25 Years China: The discussion on India’s growing presence in the field of global technology is intensifying, recently Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu has given information about the company’s long-running work in China. He told that the company has been present in China for the last 25 years and is continuously increasing its market share. Responding to a post on X (Twitter), Zoho founder Vembu said that Zoho employs more than 300 people through several offices in China. The company has achieved steady growth by investing heavily in localizing its software and understanding the needs of Chinese customers.
This comment came in response to a post stating that Zoho’s presence in China is growing despite competition from domestic software vendors and global technology companies like Microsoft and Salesforce. Sridhar Vembu wrote that we have two data centers in China which are specifically for hosting the data of Chinese customers.
We have been operating in China for 25 years and we have over 300 employees there spread across multiple offices. We have steadily gained market share as we have invested heavily in localizing our software and understanding the needs of Chinese customers.

Zoho made its place in China
Zoho operates in China primarily through ManageEngine, the enterprise IT management division of Zoho Corporation. The company has created a strong position in the market by focusing on local products, regional infrastructure and partnerships to suit the needs of Chinese businesses. ManageEngine Vice President Mathivanan Venkatachalam told ‘China Daily’, we are investing a lot in the Chinese market in terms of people, data centers, marketing and partners.
According to a report by China Daily, Zoho is planning to invest more than 100 million yuan (about $14.5 million) in China in 2026. This investment will be made on setting up data centres, hardware, increasing marketing and strengthening local research and development teams.
