
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said in the review meeting of the Transport Department that Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Seva Yojana should be started soon to provide institutional public transport facilities to the citizens in the state. It was told in the meeting that a Road Safety Secretariat is being formed in the state. Transport and School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh was also present in the meeting. Chief Minister Yadav said that it is our responsibility to provide safe, convenient and accessible transportation facilities to the common people. He said that Rahveer Yojana should be widely publicized. The shortage of human resources in the transport department should be compensated by running a campaign.
He said that better public transport is not only a means of easy travel but is also the lifeline of social and economic development of the state. To check the goods vehicles coming from other states in the state border, transport posts and toll points should be made more modern and equipped with facilities. For this, efforts should be made to integrate the transport posts soon.
Ambulance services should be brought on one platform
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav Said that mapping of most accident prone areas in the state should be done, so that medical services can be provided to the needy as soon as possible. Ambulance services provided by various departments should be brought on one platform, so that ambulances can reach the needy in accident areas in auto mode (which is nearest to the spot) in less than 30 minutes.
In the meeting, Transport Secretary Manish Singh told that Madhya Pradesh is at first place in the entire country in the implementation of PM-Relief Scheme and Rahveer Scheme implemented by the department. District nodal officers have been onboarded in all 55 districts of the state under the PM-Relief Scheme. Out of total 2,298 cases, 1692 cases have been approved under the scheme. A total of 109 applications were received under Rahveer Yojana, out of which 49 cases have been approved. Very good work has been done on Rahveer scheme in Balaghat district.
‘M.P. Formation of ‘State Road Safety Secretariat’
It was told in the meeting that in the recent meeting of the Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety (SCCoRS) held in Madhya Pradesh, the chairman and members of the committee have highly appreciated the initiative of the state government for the promotion and successful implementation of these two schemes. On the recommendation of this committee, to ensure road safety, a separate ‘M.P. ‘State Road Safety Secretariat’ is also being formed.
He said that against the target of Rs 4,400 crore given to the department in the financial year 2025-26, a total revenue income of Rs 4911.78 crore was earned. The department has earned 111.6 percent more revenue than the given target. For the current financial year 2026-27, a target of revenue income of about Rs 5,721 crore has been set. 51 types of faceless services are being provided in the state by the Transport Department.
This has not only freed the citizens from middlemen but has also ensured transparent service delivery. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also congratulated the departmental ministers, officers and field staff for all these achievements.
Review of ‘Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Seva Yojana’
He said that the scheme should be launched in the field as soon as possible. Secretary, Transport Manish Singh said that the procedural work is going on rapidly to bring the scheme on the ground. This scheme will be run in two phases. For this, 7 areas have been established in the state namely Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal (including Narmadapuram), Jabalpur, Sagar, Gwalior (including Chambal) and Rewa (including Shahdol).
A departmental notification has also been issued regarding extended route approval from regional headquarters to suburban areas for the buses to be run in the first phase. Notification of extended routes in other areas will be issued soon. He said that in the first phase of the scheme, about 5,206 buses will be operated on a total of 1,164 routes in the state in the next two years. An efficient and intelligent transport management system is being established for smooth monitoring of all these buses.

He said that in the first phase of the scheme, a total of 608 buses will be deployed on 121 routes in Indore region, 371 buses on 120 routes in Ujjain region, 398 buses on 104 routes in Bhopal region, 309 buses on 83 routes in Jabalpur region, 344 buses on 92 routes in Sagar region, 298 buses on 65 routes in Gwalior region. And 184 buses will be run in 35 routes of Rewa area. All the buses run under the scheme will have the same color, so that uniformity is maintained.
