Women’s T20 World Cup champion Australia will get more than Rs 23 crore, how much will England and Team India earn?

July 5, 2026 by Uma Shankar

After missing out on 2 World Cup titles in 2 consecutive years, Australia women’s cricket team has again become world champion. Australia won the title by defeating the host team in the final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 played in England. Australia won this trophy for a record 7th time by winning by 7 wickets in the final. Under the captaincy of Sophie Molineau, the Australian team not only lifted the T20 World Cup trophy but also won prize money worth more than Rs 23 crore. Runner-up England has also earned a good amount of money.

The prize money pool was also increased by ICC for this Women’s T20 World Cup, played with 12 teams for the first time. The prize pool which was 7.95 million dollars in the World Cup 2024, was increased to 8.76 million dollars i.e. about Rs 83.40 crore this time due to 12 teams. However, there was no change in the amount received by the winner and runner-up and it remained the same as in T20 World Cup 2024.
