The Indian team’s fielding in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 has been very poor. Due to this poor fielding, Team India had lost the last match against South Africa and now against Bangladesh also the players of Indian women’s cricket team have repeated the same mistake. In the match being played at Old Trafford ground in Manchester, Indian players dropped 4 catches in just 10 balls. 3 catches were missed in just 4 balls. In the match against Bangladesh, Team India broke all limits due to poor fielding. Let us tell you which player made these mistakes.

Team India forgot to catch?

  • The first catch in the match against Bangladesh was dropped in the third over. Gambhir Firdous played a shot in the air on the fifth ball of Shri Charan and Yastika Bhatia missed the catch at square leg.
  • The second catch was missed on the last ball of the fourth over. Firdous again played a shot in the air on the ball of Renuka Singh but Radha Yadav made an easy catch at deep-midwicket.
  • The third catch was thrown on the second ball of the fifth over. This time too, Mr. Charani’s ball was shot in the air. Sobhana Yadav dropped the catch.
  • Nandini Sharma dropped the fourth catch. Nandini took the catch of Firdaus at short third man on the ball of Shri Charani.

Meaning Bangladeshi batsman Firdaus got three lives and three catches were missed on the balls of Shri Charani. However, Firdaus was finally caught by Nandini Sharma on her own ball. Firdous scored 33 runs in 31 balls.

Dropped 3 catches against South Africa

In the last match against South Africa, Team India had to face defeat by 6 wickets and the reason for this was also poor fielding. The Indian team had dropped three catches against South Africa. Marijane Kapp missed 3 catches in this match. The first catch was taken by Nandini Sharma in the 10th over. In the 13th over, Radha Yadav left Kapp caught on the ball of Shri Charan and then in the 17th over also, Radha Yadav gave life to Marijane Kapp.

Team India has dropped 10 catches

The Indian cricket team has dropped 10 catches so far in this tournament. India has dropped 4 catches against Bangladesh, 3 against South Africa, 2 against Pakistan and 1 against Netherlands. India is at third place in terms of dropping the maximum number of catches. England has dropped the maximum of 15 catches, while New Zealand has dropped 14 catches.
