Women’s T20 WC 2026: Trophy race between only 4 teams, when and who will compete in the semi-finals? The schedule is like this

June 29, 2026 by Uma Shankar

The journey of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 has now reached its destination. This tournament, which was played with 12 teams for the first time, has now become a competition between only 4 teams. After some exciting, some one-sided and some heart-breaking matches, the group stage ended and four teams reached the semi-finals. Defending champion New Zealand and current ODI champion India were eliminated after losing their last match. Now there will be only a semi-final clash between hosts England, West Indies, Australia and South Africa, which will give two finalists.

This World Cup, which started in England from June 12, has now reached the semi-final stage, in which these four teams will present the final claim for the title. Out of these four, 3 have already won this trophy, only South Africa is still deprived of the title. New Zealand had prevented him from becoming champion by defeating him in the final of the last World Cup. Now Laura Woolworth’s team will try to fulfill that broken dream.

But the path of South Africa is not going to be so easy and neither is that of the former champion West Indies because both of them have two toughest and best in form teams in their path. South Africa, which reached the semi-finals from Group-1, will face host England, which topped Group-2 and reached the semi-finals first. West Indies will face Group-1 topper and Australia, which has won all its matches and has reached every semi-final in the history of Women’s T20 World Cup. But when and where will these matches take place? Let us tell.

June 30, First Semi-Final – Australia vs West Indies, The Oval (London)

July 2, Second Semi-Final – England vs South Africa, The Oval (London)

Not only the semi-finals, but the final match will also be held in London. The teams that win both these semi-finals will reach the final. After this, the final of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be played at the historic Lord’s Stadium on July 5. Now will there be a new champion in this final, or will these three teams add another title to their respective accounts? It will be known on 5th June but who will reach there will be known on 30th June and 2nd July.
