During the interrogation, it has been revealed that all the accused are remorseful for their actions, however, till now in the interrogation and investigation, no old criminal record of the accused has been revealed nor has any experience of planning such theft been revealed.

In such a situation, the question is arising that on whose instructions was the planning of theft started? The police is searching for the mastermind of this donation theft case.

Police investigating the properties

As the investigation into the Ram temple donation theft case progresses, Ayodhya police have obtained land and bank records of the accused and are probing whether these properties are “proceeds of crime”, sources say.

Police sources said that they had sought records of the land parcels of the accused and their family members from the Revenue Department. Police have so far received records of about 20 pieces of land from the department and are currently verifying them.

According to the police, the dates on which these properties were purchased and the dates on which the accused joined the Ram Mandir Trust are important things which are still being verified. Sources said that if the properties were purchased after the accused joined the Ram Mandir Trust, the administration may consider them “proceeds of crime”.

Police had seized a four-wheeler

Earlier on Friday, acting on information from key accused Avinash Shukla, Ayodhya police seized a four-wheeler, calling it “proceeds of crime”. On Friday, investigators also located the place where the accused were believed to have distributed the stolen money among themselves.

During police remand, Shukla was taken to a place near 14-Kosi Parikrama Route in Ayodhya, where he allegedly identified the exact place used for distribution of the cash.

Sources related to the investigation said that after the theft, eight accused including Anukalp Mishra, Lavkush Mishra, Kamlesh Pandey and Tinu Yadav had allegedly gathered at this place to distribute the stolen funds. Sources further said that police officials interrogated Avinash Shukla on the spot. It is said that he recreated the sequence of events on the spot.

the cash was divided

Sources said he also told how the money was distributed among the group members. Sources said the place was used not only to distribute the stolen cash but also to hide valuables related to the crime.

Acting on Avinash Shukla’s disclosure, investigators reportedly recovered a valuable item hidden near the same spot. Authorities have not yet disclosed the nature of the recovered item. However, it is believed that this is an important evidence which can strengthen the prosecution’s case.

This recovery has given investigators new leads about the alleged conspiracy. The investigation team is trying to trace the movement of the stolen property and the role of each accused. The police are now investigating whether more evidence or valuables are hidden and are verifying the statements given during remand.

Investigation into donation theft case intensified

As the investigation into the high-profile Ram Mandir donation theft case continues, authorities are expected to interrogate the remaining accused and analyze the recovered evidence before filing further submissions in the court. A total of eight accused were booked for alleged theft in the temple, and all were later arrested.

An FIR was registered at Ayodhya Kotwali police station on the basis of the complaint of Krishna Mohan, a member of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
