LCU i.e. Lokesh Cinematic Universe is a film chain or franchise, which was created by the famous Tamil film director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Many block buster films have been made in it till now and the upcoming films are also awaited. Now that there were discussions for a long time that LCU is going to be closed, fans were also having many doubts about the upcoming movies related to it like ‘Kaithi 2’ and ‘Vikram 2’. At present, director Lokesh Kanagaraj has made everything clear.

Let us tell you that Lokesh Kanagaraj is going to start a new chapter of his career. He is going to debut as an actor with the film ‘DC’. Recently in a program he talked about the future of Lokesh Cinematic Universe.

Will LCU be closed?

According to a report, while speaking in the program, Location Kanagaraj said, “They can never close LCU, especially it was named and liked by the fans.” He further added, “There were rumors going around that LCU has been shut down, but if need be I will shut down GSquad (it’s a home production) but can’t shut down this universe. It was a name given by online fans which I adopted and am following now.”

He also said that he cannot say that he will not make any more films at LCU, because projects related to this universe are still a part of his commitments. Regarding films, he said that be it Kaithi 2, Vikram 2 or Rolex’s standalone film, all these are my commitments and I will fulfill them. Lokesh Kanagaraj also told that after completing Allu Arjun’s film, Lo will work on LCU and ‘Benz’ being made under his production is also a part of LCU.

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s debut

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj will be seen playing the lead role of Devdas in the film ‘DC’. This is a modern story of classic Devdas in which a lot of action will be seen. Vamika will be seen playing the role of Gabbi Chandra in the film. This film full of romance, action and tragedy drama, the director is all set to represent the location in a new avatar.

The film DC has been directed by Arun Matheswaran and its music has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander. This film will be released in theaters on 31 July 2026. After this film, Location Kanagaraj will join Allu Arjun’s awaited action entertainer film as director.
