Rumor of resignation creates stir in party

Supporting Annamalai’s stance of choosing his political path outside the BJP, his supporters put up posters in Madurai, showing the former state president shaking hands with actors Rajinikanth and Ajith.
Confusion between workers and supporters
State Secretary of BJP Yuva Morcha R. Yogesh said, there is confusion among party workers and supporters after the rumors of Annamalai leaving the party. Many people are worried and some are even considering distancing themselves from the party. He said that the party leadership should take immediate steps to reassure the workers at this critical time. Yogesh said on Twitter that State President Nainar Nagendran should clarify the situation by issuing a video message or official letter and boost the morale of the workers.
He said clarity from leadership can prevent misinformation, restore trust and keep workers united. Meanwhile, amid speculations about Annamalai’s resignation, BJP’s fishermen unit state president M.C. Munusamy has resigned from the party.
Meeting with Amit Shah in Delhi on June 2
