The first season of Mirzapur had captured the hearts and minds of people. This web series with typical language, crime, action and thriller became such a hit that the second and third seasons were also brought. Manoj Tripathi, Divyendu Sharma, Rasika Duggal, Vikrant Massey and actor Ali Fazal were seen in the lead roles. Now Ali Fazal said in an interview to PTI that he was very scared before becoming a part of Mirzapur. Ali Fazal has also given the reason for this.
‘Mirzapur’ is one of the most successful web series of Amazon Prime Video. Every actor working in it has left a mark even with his small role. Made in desi style, this film shows the story of mafias and a normal person becoming a criminal, in which tremendous action and strong dialogues filled the fans with thrill.
Why were you feeling afraid?
In response to a question about joining the world of “Mirzapur”, actor Ali Fazal says that at that time I was scared, I did not know what the format would be. This was the first time when such initial shows were being made (in India).” The actor says that even the filmmakers were like, ‘Hey man, what are you doing, do all these films.’
The actor was a little hesitant about all these things, but he also said that “Because I have had a little exposure in the West, with English films… I saw a period there, saw the changing times… of OTT shows, I felt that a revolution is about to come here”. Because of this, Ali Fazal got the confidence to say yes to this show (Mirzapur web series).

The actor further says, “The way Puneet Krishna wrote the script and the world he created of ‘Mirzapur’ was really praiseworthy. We had an idea about small towns and remote areas, that maybe this would happen…we used to listen to these stories. It was fun, at that time I felt that I could show something as an actor, but I had never seen that place from this perspective.”
