Extreme heat alert issued
Severe heat alert has been issued in countries like Poland, Croatia and Hungary till the end of this week. If Europe has become a furnace of fire then the biggest reason behind it is Omega Block. Omega block is a special seasonal pattern formed in the atmosphere, which keeps the weather in an area consistent for a long time.
Normally when strong winds blow 614 km above the ground, which is called jet stream. These winds keep moving continuously and the weather keeps changing but this time these winds are stuck in a shape like the Greek letter Omega, due to which it is causing heat. The overall situation is that due to the severe heatwave in Europe, more than 9 crore people are in the grip of extreme heat. In many countries the temperature remains above 35°C.
What do experts say?
According to experts, the biggest reasons for this are Omega Block, Heat Dome, hot winds coming from Sahara Desert and climate change, due to which heat remains in one area for a long time. Homes in Europe are usually built with thick walls and insulation to protect against both extreme cold and heat, so that less heat gets inside.
For this, thermocol and such things are inserted in the middle of the wall, so that the heat can be saved, but this time the heatwave is so severe that people are being advised to use AC and go to public places with air-conditioning.
