Trinamool Congress MP Sayani Ghosh, once considered loyal to Mamata Banerjee, has changed sides after the defeat in the assembly elections and has now joined NCPI along with Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, but Sayani Ghosh, who earlier gave a befitting reply to the questions and allegations, is now getting angry. He has sent a defamation notice to former TMC leader and recruitment scam accused Tapas Mandal and has claimed Rs 5 crore.
Sayani Ghosh Has alleged that his image is getting tarnished! Tapas Mandal had made serious allegations against Jadavpur MP Sayani Ghosh. He had claimed that Sayani Ghosh had taken advantage of recruitment scam accused Kuntal Ghosh. After this Sayani Ghosh has given a defamation notice of Rs 5 crore.
Sayani Ghosh, who became MP on Trinamool ticket, is currently an MP from NCPI and a supporter of NDA. Regarding Sayani Ghosh, Tapas Mandal had recently said in an interview to TV9 Bangla, “There are thousands of Kuntals in the entire state who have raised money in the name of Abhishek. Kuntal used to spend a lot on Sayani, because he is the Youth Secretary, and Sayani is the Youth President. He had given her a flat and a car.”
Notice sent to Tapas Mandal
Sayani Ghosh expressed objection to Tapas Mandal’s comment. In the legal notice given to Tapas Mandal, he told that he had purchased a flat in 2020, which was worth Rs 80 lakh. He also told that he had purchased the flat by taking a loan of Rs 60 lakh from the bank. Apart from this, Sayani also mentioned about buying a Scorpio car and a Honda Jazz in 2024. It has been told in the notice how the MPs earn and with what money they run their families.
It has been clearly stated in the notice that the image of Sayani Ghosh has been tarnished by the words spoken by Tapas Mandal. Therefore, he should immediately apologize publicly and give Rs 5 crore. Otherwise, Sayani has also said that he will take legal action.
Sayani said this
When the MP was spoken to, she said, “They made many comments. They talked a lot about my flat in front of the camera. They misled me. In view of this, the investigating agency also called me once. I submitted 500 pages of documents. After that, I never got a call again. I ignored them at first, but I felt that I am a public representative. I am responsible towards the people of Jadavpur. No one without any Can’t talk about anyone, I hope he will agree, otherwise I will take legal action.
