
The exercise to announce the name of BJP state president in Karnataka has been intensified. In this sequence, central observer Vijayant Jai Panda and co-organization minister Shivprakash sent from BJP have come to Delhi after consulting senior leaders of the state. According to the information received, the central leaders of BJP met one by one with about 33 senior leaders of the state and sought their opinion. Central leaders were to contact 35 leaders yesterday for consultation but two of them were abroad.
After reaching Delhi on Friday, the Central Observer met Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and took his opinion. Prahlad Joshi could not reach Bengaluru because he had to attend the Council of Ministers meeting in Delhi. BJP leaders Vijayant Jai Panda and Shivprakash have handed over the feedback to BJP President Nitin Nabin in Bengaluru. Karnataka’s veteran leader and former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has also been consulted in this entire process.
Vijendra likely to be repeated
According to sources, there is every possibility of the current Karnataka State President BY Vijendra being repeated. His name is again at the forefront in the race for the post of state president in Karnataka. According to the information received, most of the leaders of the state have given consent to the observers in favor of the current state president BY Vijendra. Vijendra’s tenure will also be completed in November this year.
State General Secretary V. Sunil Kumar is also in the race for Karnataka State President. Sunil, who belongs to the OBC community, was a minister in the previous BJP government. A third name which has come up prominently in the race for the post of President is Arvind Ballad. Balladh also comes from Lingayat community. Major subsections of the community are from the Panchmasali community. The number of Panchamshali among Lingayats is about 60 percent.
Nitin Nabin’s meeting with B.S. Yeddyurappa
Meanwhile, BJP national president Nitin Nabin will reach Bengaluru on Saturday night and will hold a breakfast meeting with former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa on Sunday morning. On Sunday, Nitin Nabin will participate in the meeting of the core committee of officials of Karnataka state and will return to Delhi the next day i.e. on Monday evening. It is expected that the name of the Karnataka state president will be announced as soon as he returns to Delhi on Monday.
After Karnataka, the remaining three states will also get presidents soon. In this, BJP will elect the state president of Haryana and Delhi keeping in mind the Punjab Assembly. According to sources, state presidents will be made in these states to give a political message in the Punjab Assembly elections to be held next year.
