
BJP on Friday declared Neeraj Kumar Sinha as its candidate for Bankipur assembly by-election in Bihar.BJP had earlier made Abhishek Kumar Bunty the candidate for the Bankipur assembly seat that had become vacant after the resignation of BJP national president Nitin Naveen, but within minutes of Abhishek Kumar Bunty withdrawing his name, the party declared Neeraj Kumar Sinha as the party candidate.
high-profile Bankipur Assembly By-election will be held on the seat on July 30. There is a possibility of a triangular contest between BJP, Jan Suraj Party and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), on which everyone will be keeping an eye. Counting of votes on this seat will take place on August 3.
Who is Neeraj Kumar Sinha?
Neeraj Kumar Sinha is a 32 year old BJP worker. He has been associated with the party for the last two decades. He has worked in different organizational roles at the grassroots level.
During his political career, Neeraj Sinha has worked on positions like Booth President, Mandal General Secretary and District President of BJP Yuva Morcha. He has also served as Board President twice and is currentlyNarendra was the president of Bharti Mandal in Bankipur.
Neeraj Sinha comes from a family which has old ties with BJP. His uncle, Narendra Bharti, was an active worker of the Jan Sangh and later joined the BJP before his death in 1984. Narendra Bharti Mandal has been named in his honor and Neeraj Sinha is leading the unit as its President. resident of patna Neeraj Kumar Sinha is unmarried and has completed education up to BA. Will compete with Prashant Kishore
Neeraj Kumar Sinha will face Jan Suraj Party founder and former election strategist Prashant Kishore in the Bankipur by-election on July 30, which is one of the closest electoral contests in Bihar. Rashtriya Janata Dal has fielded Rekha Gupta from this seat.
Bankipur assembly seat, with about 4 lakh voters in Central Patna, is an important urban constituency, which is considered politically important due to the strong influence of Kayastha and Vaishya communities. BJP and Jan Suraj Party have run a vigorous campaign, in which Prashant Kishor is showing this by-election as an important “referendum” on the functioning of the ruling NDA government in Bihar.
