Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday participated in the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of 342 public welfare projects worth Rs 413 crore under the ‘Clean-Beautiful-Samarth Lucknow’ campaign. During this, he said that I am happy to tell that today the three-year tenure of all the urban local bodies is completing. This includes 17 Municipal Corporations including Lucknow, about 200 Municipal Councils and about 500 Nagar Panchayats i.e. about 545 urban local bodies in total. During this program organized at Jupiter Hall, a booklet related to the campaign was also released.
Addressing the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony, CM Yogi said that just look at Lucknow, we built ‘Rashtra Prerna Sthal’ at a place where garbage was thrown for more than three decades. Today it has become an excellent centre. Big rallies can be organized here. There is a grand stage and a museum. The Chief Minister said that we have also installed a magnificent statue of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, who had said for the unity of the nation that ‘one country cannot have two Prime Ministers, two Constitutions and two flags. Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India has achieved that goal.

We gave houses to 17 lakh poor people in urban areas
CM Yogi said that it has always been our priority that welfare schemes reach the poor. During this, he also attacked the Samajwadi Party. He said that before 2017, there were no houses for the poor in the SP government. We have given one house each to 17 lakh poor people. 65 lakh houses were also given in rural areas. He said that we did not see his face, did not see his caste, did not see his region, did not see his opinion and religion. Looking at the poor, farmers, women and youth, we took our programs forward.
CM Yogi said that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay had said in the 1960s that the economic progress of the country should not be assessed by the prosperity of the people sitting at the top, but by the progress of the person sitting at the lowest rung of the society.
