But its performance at the box office was so bad that it could not even recover its budget. Mohanlal started his directorial career with ‘Baroj 3D’. It was removed from the theater due to lack of audience. ‘Burroughs 3D’ was based on the novel by famous writer Jijo Punnuse. Mohanlal also directed it and he also played the character of a ghost named ‘Baroj’ in the film.

Rs 100 crore was spent in making ‘Burroughs 3D’. But in its entire theatrical run, the film earned Rs 15.10 crore worldwide. At the same time, this film collected only Rs 9.83 at the domestic box office. The condition of this film was so bad that you will laugh after hearing its rating. This film has got 3.3 rating on IMDb. After being a flop at the box office, the film was released digitally on Disney + Hotstar on January 22, 2025.
