Emotional Story: An emotional incident narrating the game of destiny and the cycle of time has come to light from Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. Here in 1996, a young man who ran away from home due to fear of scolding from his family after failing in the 10th examination returned back to his parents after 30 years. When the old parents, who had been waiting for their son for three decades, met their son, the entire atmosphere was filled with tears of joy. An official SIR form of the Election Commission became the medium for this unbreakable union.
According to the information, Yellamma and Yellappa couple, residents of Emmiganur in Kurnool district, have two sons and three daughters. In the year 1996, his elder son Rama had failed in the 10th class examination. During the same time, his uncle’s son Nagaraju had also failed. Fearing scolding from their parents and family, both the teenagers hastily decided to leave home.
Six years after the incident, Nagaraju returned to his home, but Rama stayed away out of fear. He roamed around in big cities like Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru and worked as a laborer.
The world settled in Bengaluru, but the memories of loved ones remained sore.
Staying away from home, Rama got his life back on track. After reaching Bangalore, Rama worked hard and stood on his feet. He got married and had a happy family. Even after being completely settled in life, Rama always had memories of his village, old parents and siblings in his mind, but due to a mistake made in his childhood, he was unable to muster the courage to return to his hometown.
Election Commission’s SIR form showed the way home
After 30 years, there came a turn in this story which brought together the separated family. Recently, as part of an official process, Rama had to fill the SIR application form of the Election Commission. In this form, it was mandatory to enter the full name of the parents and the permanent address of the original hometown. As soon as he wrote down the names of his parents and the address of his village, Rama’s heart sank and he decided that no matter what happens, he would have to meet his parents.
Tears welling up in Emmiganur after 30 years
When Rama stepped into his birthplace Emmiganur after a long gap of three decades, the sight was emotional. As soon as he reached home and saw his aged parents, the patience of both the parties broke. There were tears of immense joy in the eyes of the family after seeing their son, whom the parents had considered dead or missing for 30 years, safe and sound.
