The Congress high command held a meeting with its general secretaries, state in-charges and presidents of state units on Thursday, in which the organizational situation, review of work related to the organization and current political developments were discussed. General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who attended this meeting, raised questions on the Congress organization. He said that on the issues you are talking about raising at the booth, where is our organization at the booth level, where is it formed? When there is no organization then what will happen by just announcing?
Priyanka Gandhi said that instead of talking about agitation and demonstration on every issue, we will have to work with focus, hold two issues related to the public at a time and move ahead.
Discussion on Congress programs and strategy
Sources said that the party’s further programs and strategy were also discussed in the meeting. Former party president Rahul Gandhi, Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal, General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Jairam Ramesh and many other leaders were present in this meeting chaired by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.
