Allahabad High Court has made a big comment in the case of disproportionate assets against Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. What is the whole matter?

The court was hearing a petition demanding investigation by CBI and ED against Rahul Gandhi on charges of having disproportionate assets. Karnataka-based BJP worker S. Vignesh Shishir had filed this petition. The hearing took place in the court on Monday for about two hours. The order of this case was released on the High Court website on Tuesday. The court said that the affidavit given by CBI was not in accordance with its earlier order. During the hearing, both CBI and ED filed their counter affidavits. Let us tell you that BJP leader Vignesh Shishir had earlier alleged that Rahul Gandhi has dual citizenship.

What did the court say on the affidavit of CBI-ED?

Justice Rajesh Singh Chauhan and Justice Brij Raj Singh, after seeing the affidavit of CBI, said that the court is not able to understand what progress has been made so far in the investigation of this case. Therefore, on the next hearing, CBI will have to submit a new affidavit as per the previous orders of the court. At the same time, on the affidavit of ED, the court said that the Enforcement Directorate took necessary steps. If any kind of irregularity is found during the investigation then he is free to take action. The next hearing of the case will be on August 20.

How much property does Rahul Gandhi have?

According to the 2024 election affidavit, Rahul Gandhi has total assets worth more than Rs 20 crore. In this, movable property is worth Rs 9.24 crore and immovable property is around Rs 11.15 crore. He has shares worth more than Rs 4.33 crore in different companies. There are mutual funds worth Rs 3.81 crore. There is agricultural land in Mehrauli, Delhi. Signature Towers in Gurugram has commercial office space.
