What is the whole matter?
The court was hearing a petition demanding investigation by CBI and ED against Rahul Gandhi on charges of having disproportionate assets. Karnataka-based BJP worker S. Vignesh Shishir had filed this petition. The hearing took place in the court on Monday for about two hours. The order of this case was released on the High Court website on Tuesday. The court said that the affidavit given by CBI was not in accordance with its earlier order. During the hearing, both CBI and ED filed their counter affidavits. Justice Rajesh Singh Chauhan and Justice Brij Raj Singh, after seeing the affidavit of CBI, said that the court is not able to understand what progress has been made so far in the investigation of this case. Therefore, on the next hearing, CBI will have to submit a new affidavit as per the previous orders of the court. At the same time, on the affidavit of ED, the court said that the Enforcement Directorate took necessary steps.
