
Thalapathy Vijay Jan Nayagan: Actor-turned-politician Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thalapathy Vijay’s last film ‘Jana Nayakan’ has been stuck for a long time. Its release is getting delayed due to censor board hurdles. Meanwhile, this matter has now come to a new turn. Since no confirmed date of release of ‘Jana Nayakan’ has been fixed and the certification related issues are still not resolved, the makers have taken a big decision. It is reported that the producers of the film have decided to return the advance money to the distributors.
Thalapathy Vijay ‘Jana Nayakan’ was earlier scheduled to release on January 9. But due to the controversy related to certification, this film could not be released on the scheduled date. Initially the film had received the recommendation of UA 16+ certificate from the regional panel of CBFC. However, even before the final certification, the film got stuck in a legal dispute and has been stuck for almost 6 months.
What decision did the makers take?
KVN Productions is supporting Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayakan’. According to reports, due to the film not getting certificate from the Censor Board, the makers are preparing to return the advance money taken from the distributors. After returning the advance money and clearing all the legal and certification hurdles, KVN Productions is preparing to release it independently.

What is Thalapathy Vijay planning?
Confirming the news, Mohan Suprith, Business Head, KVN Productions, said in a recent statement, “Though our talks are still ongoing, we have decided to refund the money to the film distributors. We felt it was not right to keep giving them information while we are still waiting for the release date.” If reports are to be believed, the makers have taken this decision at the behest of Thalapathy Vijay, because there is no confirmation yet regarding the theatrical release of the film.
