May 31, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Team India Top Cricketers Injured During IPL 2026: While on one hand the IPL 2026 season was successful in reaching new heights of excitement, on the other hand a big controversy has arisen regarding the fitness of the players. This season, the debate has intensified regarding many important players of Team India whether they were forced to play franchise cricket despite not being completely fit. Four big names of Indian cricket are included in this list. These 4 players are Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakraborty, Ravindra Jadeja and Ryan Parag.

Team India players were force fed?

Actually, India’s A team is soon going to tour Sri Lanka, where the tri-series will be played. But Riyan Parag is out of this tour. Riyan Parag was injured during the last matches of IPL 2026. Despite the injury, he played the eliminator and second qualifier matches for Rajasthan Royals. Due to which his problems increased and now he will not go to Sri Lanka with the India A team. But he is not the first player of this season, even before him many players of Team India have played in IPL 2026 with injury.

Earlier, during the last league match of Kolkata, Varun Chakraborty was seen bowling while limping. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals’ experienced all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was also seen struggling with tennis elbow problem during the team’s last match. Due to which he had to leave the batting midway, but he came on the field again at the end of the innings and batted. On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah also made a late entry in IPL 2026 due to injury. But during his comeback, he was not seen in his old rhythm and was a flop the entire season.

Questions raised on workload management

That is, these are those players of Team India who appeared on the field this season despite being ‘half-fit’ or suffering from some minor or major injury. Due to which questions have started being raised in the cricket world on workload management and safety of players. There is resentment among the fans that when the Indian team has to play big international tournaments, why was such a risk taken with the fitness of the players? Now it remains to be seen what strict action the board takes after the end of this season regarding the players’ workload and this controversy.
