Welcome To The Jungle: The film ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ continues to be in the headlines due to its big star cast and long-running discussions. Recently, many things came to light on social media regarding the characters of Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandes in the film. Some people said that both the actresses got very less screen time in the film and their characters were also not very impactful.
Now the film’s director Ahmed Khan has given his reaction to these criticisms. He clearly said that one should not form any opinion about any character just by seeing the trailer or the glimpse. Ahmed Khan says that only after watching the entire film, the audience will be able to understand the importance of each artist in the story. So first watch the film and then talk.
It is difficult to give equal screen time when there is a big star cast.
Ahmed Khan recently gave an interview to Hindustan Times. In this he said that ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ has been made keeping in mind the big comedy artists of Bollywood from the beginning. The film stars actors like Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Shreyas Talpade, Aftab Shivdasani and Arshad Warsi, who are considered experts in comedy.
He said, “When such big comedy stars are together, it is not easy to give equal screen time to everyone. Every character in the film has its own place and importance.”
Jacqueline’s character made us laugh in a different way
Ahmed Khan told that the character of Jacqueline Fernandes has been deliberately kept in such a way that it makes people laugh with its strange and funny things. He said that Jacqueline repeatedly asks such questions, which even the other characters are surprised to hear. According to him, even though Jacqueline does not have long dialogues, her character adds a touch of comedy to the film with her unique style.

What is the role of Disha Patani?
Ahmed Khan also talked about Disha Patani’s character. He told that in the film, Disha plays Akshay Kumar’s ex-girlfriend and keeps teasing him throughout the film. He said, “Disha’s character repeatedly taunts Akshay, tries to make him jealous and keeps teasing him by calling him a cheater. This is the specialty of her character.”
The biggest challenge is to create balance among 34 artists.
Ahmed Khan told that there are about 34 actors in the film. In such a situation, it was not possible to give equal screen time to everyone. He said, “If the 34 actors are given only four minutes each, then the time of the entire film will be exhausted there. Therefore, all the characters have been given space according to the story.”
‘Disha and Jacqueline are also happy with their roles’
On the discussion going on about the small roles of Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandes in the film, Ahmed Khan said that both the actresses are completely satisfied with their characters. According to him, all the actors in the film knew in advance what their roles would be and what their importance was in the story. Therefore, he believes that the audience should form an opinion on a character only after watching the entire film.
