‘We have immense respect for Ram Temple’, said – Kashish Warsi of Indian Sufi Foundation

July 7, 2026 by Uma Shankar

National President of Indian Sufi Foundation, Kashish Warsi, while supporting the statement given by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Prayagraj, has raised serious questions on the functioning of the Waqf Board. He said that Sanatan is the oldest religion in the country and Islam spread here later, which he respects very much. Justifying the Chief Minister’s statement regarding the Waqf Board, he said that if the Waqf Board had used the income from its properties properly instead of selling them, then today the children of the Muslim community would not have had to suffer for government schemes like scholarship, Ayushman card and Prime Minister’s residence.

He said that all the temples could have been built with the money of Waqf Board and work would have been done for the welfare of Muslims. Kashish Warsi alleged that a huge scam has been committed by the elders by allotting Waqf lands for poor Muslims, even today in many mosques, Imams are illegally occupying them and collecting donations, an example of which is a mosque in Moradabad, but despite being authorized committees, the administration and the Waqf Board are failing to remove them.

‘There should be a high level investigation’

Kashish Warsi said that there should be a high level inquiry into where the donated money is going. At the same time, on the Ram Mandir issue, he said that the entire country has accepted the court decision on Babri Masjid-Ram Mandir, today Ram Mandir has become a big center of faith and tourism for the whole world. He reminded that one of our famous poets has called Maryada Purushottam Ram as ‘Imame Hind’, hence in the spirit of Islam, he respects every religion and Shri Ram immensely.

What did CM Yogi say?

In fact, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday accused Congress and Samajwadi Party of attacking Sanatan Dharma with their statements on Ram Mandir donation theft controversy and asked why they remain silent on Waqf issues. He said, ‘Why do people who attack Hinduism suddenly become silent on the issue of Waqf, as if Fevicol has been pasted on their mouth? When many hectares of land across the country was sold in the name of Waqf, why did the anti-NDA group remain silent?’
