After the assembly elections in five states, a meeting of India Alliance was held in New Delhi on June 8. 25 parties of India alliance participated in this meeting. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi made the statement during the alliance meeting. He has posted his statement on the social site and has written that as many of you have said, the role of the Congress Party is to bring you all together with love and affection.
In his speech, he said, many years ago, I had an argument with a very good friend of mine. I told him what you were doing was wrong and his response was: The world is wrong, get used to it. It is not my job to respond to whatever was said about the Congress Party today. It is my job to drink everything as per Shaiva tradition. The idea of the one with a blue neck (Shiva) who drinks all the poison. Whatever else you want to say, whatever evil you want to say about me or the Congress Party, we will accept it, and we will accept it happily, with a smile on our faces.
Rahul Gandhi He further said, we will try to make you happy, because our role is completely different from yours. I am not saying this out of arrogance. Our role, as many of you have said, is to bring you all together with love and affection.
Cut off our heads, we will not bow down to RSS
He said that I have been a Congress Party MP since 2004, when I contested my first election. Our party is actually organized differently from all the other parties in India and I say this with humility. Why? Because this party started as a resistance movement when there was no modern India. Unlike all other political parties, it was not created using the infrastructure and protection of the Indian state. The Congress Party is a resistance movement that defends the idea that all Indians are equal.

Rahul Gandhi said, we are actually against the vision of RSS. We will die in the Congress party – before we stand or compromise with the BJP or the RSS. To do this you will have to cut off our heads. I know lakhs and lakhs of Congress workers in this country who will say: Cut off our heads, we will not bow down before the RSS.
Rahul Gandhi accused of vote theft
He said that I am sad to say that there is a confusion in this group. The confusion is that you Samajwadi Party, TMC, RJD, etc. believe that the political tools you have used so far will still work. They used to work only when the Indian State gave them the right field to work. That field is no more. BJP controls the institutions of the state. BJP controls the legal system. BJP controls the bureaucracy. BJP controls intelligence agencies. BJP also controls the Election Commission.
He said that I have many friends in TMC. He was sure that he was winning the elections. I kept telling him: You are in a dream world. I have seen what happens? I have seen in Gujarat, I have seen in Madhya Pradesh, I have seen in Chhattisgarh, I have seen in Haryana and Maharashtra and yet many of you are still not believing.

Rahul Gandhi said, Congress party is a party of protest. It does not require the neutrality of the Indian state to work. In fact, the more the institutions of the Indian state are strangled, the more vigorously the Congress Party will fight to save the Constitution. We all believe in the ideals of the Congress Party.
Rahul Gandhi himself asked the question and said what are those ideals? Truth, non-violence and compassion. What is the main issue here? I have no interest in fighting with you. It would take me crazy to suddenly wake up and say I’m going to fight you because you’re our partner, you’re our friend, you’re the people we love. Please understand that we had won the last election in 2024. We did not lose the 2024 elections. If you ask why Nitish ji left, it was not because of me, it was not because of Congress.

He said that and let me tell you that in the coming time, whatever equipment was working will also stop working, because BJP and RSS are strengthening their hold on the Indian state. The Congress Party had faced the same decision more than a hundred years ago. We were a political organization before 1927, the day Gandhiji said that we want independence, we became a resistance movement.
He said that if political parties cannot work, then what works? Resistance works. Resistance works. Wherever we resist, it works. I have seen it with my own eyes. I have walked 4,000 kilometers in this country. You don’t need political architecture. You don’t need bureaucracy. You don’t need intelligence agencies. You need to protest – Meaning: I will protest. I will not allow injustice to happen. That’s it, end here. It’s a feeling. This is not an organization. It’s a way of thinking and whether we like it or not, that’s where we have to go. Thinking has to be changed. Now the thinking should be this: We will not fight each other. We will not give the press a chance to attack us. We will protest.
Rahul Gandhi said, you are thinking that the challenge is to win the next election. We have already won the next election. Please understand: There is so much anger among the people of India that the next election is almost over. The problem is that RSS has captured the resources of the Indian state. The problem is that you will not have a free and fair election to win.
We have to go into protest mode…
Rahul Gandhi further said, and hence we will have to go into protest mode. The opposition is CBSE. The opposition is NEET. The protest is Bharat Jodo Yatra. You wake up in the morning and say: How can I resist? And you protest. This will work. I guarantee you that it will work and from my perspective, I am very happy to tolerate any criticism from any side, because for me it is a religious duty. This is a spiritual duty, this is no longer politics and that is why I promise you, I will bear whatever humiliation I have to bear to bring this group together and make it successful.
He said, how to proceed, it is very straightforward. We have to move away from a particular idea. Mamta ji is not 100% sure, but she is almost 90% sure that her election was stolen from her. Uddhav ji is 40% sure that his election was stolen. My brother Tejashwi ji is 40% sure. Listen – 100% of the elections are being stolen. Please remove doubts from your mind and please also understand that it takes years to build your identity on social media, it does not happen automatically in a week. I have 10 million YouTube followers but my account is completely blocked. So if you think that social media is right and the opposition is getting support from it, then you are living in a different reality. The entire system — media, social media, legal system, bureaucracy, intelligence agencies — is together to keep this government in power.
It is easy to defeat BJP…
He said, but this government will not survive because it has destroyed our democracy. This has ruined the future of the Indian people. After what has happened in Iran, what is happening now is uncontrollable. This is uncontrollable, and it will create a place for us to gather people.
He said, also, remove this thought that we are not coordinated and do not work together. BJP is giving all these ideas. This is not true — I am 100% sure, and I can vouch for DMK right now. When it comes to defending the idea of India, every person will be in this room. We have our own battles, but if you are asking me to go and hug the ex-Chief Minister of Kerala – then I cannot and will not, because I am having a political fight with him. Therefore, we have to be flexible and we have to understand that we are being completely attacked, an attempt is being made to prove that the opposition is weak.
He said that in the end, I think there is often a bit of sadness in our conversations. People think: Oh my God, how will we defeat BJP? Let me tell you, it is easy to defeat them if we stand together and oppose. In the last election, no one — no one in this room except me — believed that we could defeat the BJP. Now everyone in this room should start believing that we will defeat them. You start with that belief, and I guarantee you — state by state, election by election, whether they cheat or not, they will lose.
