
Protests are continuously intensifying in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). The people of PoK are continuously protesting against the Pakistani government. The protesters have alleged that to suppress their voice, Islamabad has disrupted the supply of food grains, fuel and other essential commodities in many areas. Local people say that the government is putting pressure on common citizens to weaken the movement.
It is being told that thousands of people are taking to the streets demanding cheap electricity, subsidy on food grains, better health facilities, political rights and administrative reforms. The protesters allege that instead of listening to their demands, the government has increased the deployment of security forces and internet services and movement have also been affected at many places. According to reports, the lives of common people are being affected due to shortage of essential commodities.
Protestors are adamant on continuing the movement
It is alleged that this shortage created deliberately has increased the pressure on the local community. Business in the markets has come to a standstill, fuel availability has reduced and daily wage workers are facing a crisis of livelihood. Meanwhile, the protesters are adamant on continuing the movement and are appealing to the government to accept their demands.
128 government employees fired
So far, 128 government employees have been fired for their involvement in the protests. The leaders of the protest allege that even retired soldiers have been warned not to participate in the protests and they are being threatened with withholding of pension.

A large number of activists and supporters have been detained and cases have been registered against them under serious charges. At the same time, the administration claims that action is being taken only against those who are involved in illegal activities.
