There will be a ban on marriage in Chaturmas

Every year, Chaturmas starts from Devshayani Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Ashadha month, which will end on Devuthani Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. This year Chaturmas is starting from 25th July. Marriage or any other auspicious work is not done in Chaturmamas, because it is believed that due to the sleeping period of the gods, the auspicious works done at this time do not yield good results. The time of Chaturmas is considered best for bathing, charity, worship, chanting, penance etc.

Marriage season will start again from November 20

According to Drik Panchang, this year Devuthani Ekadashi of Kartik month will be celebrated on 20th November. On this day Lord Shri Hari Vishnu will wake up from Yoganidra and will again take charge of the world. Since Devuthani Ekadashi will be celebrated on 20th November this year, all the auspicious works including marriage will start again from this day. This means that now the marriage season will start in November.

Marriage auspicious time of November and December 2026

Auspicious times for marriage are 21st, 24th, 25th and 26th in November. In the last month of the year 2026 i.e. December, the auspicious times for marriage are 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 11 and 12.
