Vitamin D Deficiency Reasons

This is how to fulfill it

Dr. Rohit says that many people believe that the need for Vitamin D is fulfilled only by drinking milk, whereas the reality is that the biggest source of Vitamin D is sunlight. Spending 15 to 30 minutes regularly in mild morning sunlight can be beneficial.

Eat these things in your diet

Talking about diet, Vitamin D is found in egg yolk, fatty fish, mushrooms, fortified milk, curd and some cereals. Besides, calcium-rich foods like milk, cheese, curd, sesame, soya and green leafy vegetables should also be included in the diet, because Vitamin D and calcium complement each other.

Don’t make these mistakes

Consumption of excessive junk food, sweet drinks and processed foods should be reduced. People who are suffering from weakness, bone pain or frequent fractures for a long time, should get their Vitamin D tested on the advice of a doctor. It is more important to focus on proper testing and a balanced diet rather than taking supplements without advice.
