In this video, a person did such an experiment that people were surprised to see. He tried to find out how much he could earn in a day just by selling tea in a crowded place like a railway station.
The video starts with a tea stall outside the railway station. The young man reaches there and buys a full kettle of tea from the tea seller. According to the information, he got this tea at the rate of Rs 5 per cup. After this, he started selling the same tea to the people coming and going outside the station at the rate of Rs 15 per cup. The guy’s aim was not just to sell tea. He wanted to understand whether a person can earn good money if he just works hard in the right place without a big shop or huge investment. He was a little hesitant in the beginning. He felt that people might not show interest in buying tea from an unknown person. But within some time his thinking was proved wrong.
How much did the guy earn?
Even though the weather was hot, people started buying his tea. There was a continuous crowd of passengers and pedestrians outside the station. Many people took tea from him without asking much questions. Within no time, a line of customers started forming near him. Within just two hours he sold about 70 cups of tea. Even he himself was surprised to see such fast sales. As soon as his kettle was empty, he would go back to the same tea vendor, get the kettle refilled and come back and start selling tea. He continued this sequence the whole day. Gradually, by the evening, hundreds of customers reached him and by the end of the day, he had sold about 400 cups of tea.
If the earnings are calculated, the picture looks even more interesting. The young man bought a cup of tea for Rs 5 and sold it for Rs 15. That means he made a profit of Rs 10 on every cup. By selling 400 cups, his total profit comes to around Rs 4,000. It has been claimed in the video that the total earning for the whole day was around Rs 4,500. If this figure is seen on a monthly basis and it is assumed that the same amount of sales are made every day, then the monthly earning can reach around Rs 1.35 lakh. If an estimate is made for the entire year, this amount can be more than Rs 16 lakh. However, this is just an estimate, because the number of customers, weather and other circumstances are not the same every day.
This is the reason why this video is becoming increasingly viral on social media. Many people are calling this an example of the power of small business. He says that if the right place is chosen and there are more customers, then even a work with low investment can give good income.
