Every year lakhs of people come to enjoy the beauty of Kashmir. Especially the famous Dal Lake of Srinagar is a center of attraction for tourists. Calm water, colorful shikaras and beautiful views all around make people happy. But recently, a video related to Dal Lake is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which the price asked for a fruit chaat has shocked people.
It can be seen in the video that some tourists are sitting on a shikara and enjoying the beautiful views of Dal Lake. Meanwhile, a fruit seller on a boat approaches them and offers to buy fruit chaat. When tourists ask him the price of a plate of fruit chaat, he tells him Rs 1000. Tourists are shocked to hear this because normally the price of fruit chaat is much less than this.
How much does fruit chaat cost?
After hearing the price, a female tourist asks him what is so special about this fruit chaat, for which he will have to pay Rs 1000. In response to this, the seller tells that he includes many types of fresh fruits in fruit chaat. He says that it will contain a mixture of many fruits like pineapple, apple, mango, melon and watermelon. He also claims that sufficient quantity of fruits will be given in the plate, hence its price is reasonable.
However, this price still seems quite high to the woman. She tells the seller that Rs 1000 is too much for a plate of fruit chaat. After this the bargaining phase begins. First, the fruit seller shows some leniency and cuts the price by about 10 percent. But tourists keep demanding to reduce the price.
After some discussion, the fruit seller finally agrees to the tourists and agrees to increase the price of fruit chaat to Rs 800 per plate. Hearing this the woman also agrees to purchase. Interestingly, he decided to buy not just one or two but five plates of fruit chaat. After this she asks the fruit seller to prepare five plates and the video ends here.
However, after the video ends, debate starts on social media. The biggest question that arises in the minds of people is whether things are really that expensive in Dal Lake or whether tourists are overcharged. This video has been shared on Instagram with an account named @lifeinframes.journey22.
