Viral Video: Woman gets angry over noise in Himalayan valleys, says – These are mountains, not pubs

June 14, 2026 by Uma Shankar

A debate has erupted on social media regarding a group playing loud music in the quiet valleys of the mountains. The video shared by a female tracker from Bengaluru has caught the attention of people on the internet. In the video, the woman is seen expressing her displeasure over the behavior of people playing loud music amidst the mountains. He says that this noise not only affected his trekking experience but also disturbed the peace of nature.

A woman known as Sowpika on Instagram posted this video from her account @sowpika. In the beginning of the video, while showing the beautiful views of the mountains, she says that people come to such places for trekking, but here too some people are busy in making noise instead of maintaining peace. He tried to make people listen to the sound of loud music by showing the surrounding environment through the camera.

People have no civic sense

According to the woman, the group which was causing trouble was playing songs at high volume for the last two hours. He told that his tracking group had also requested the concerned people to reduce the volume of music, but it had no effect. Despite this, the music continued playing and other trackers present nearby also had to face problems.

In the video, she said that she didn’t even know where the group had come from, but their behavior was extremely disappointing. He believed that those who come to enjoy nature and feel the beauty of the mountains, should also respect the environment there and the feelings of other people. The woman raised the question that if someone likes to dance and sing on loud music, then there are clubs, pubs and other entertainment places in the cities for that. In such a situation, is it right to come to quiet places like mountains and create the same environment?

Soupika said that the motive of trekking is to get closer to nature, feel relaxed and experience the natural environment, and not to fill it with noise. He also clarified that it is completely normal to talk with friends, laugh, joke or enjoy the journey. But when someone’s activities start affecting the people around and the natural environment, then it becomes a matter of concern. According to him, it is very important to have collective responsibility and discipline in activities like tracking.
