Nowadays, in the race to go viral on social media, some people have started doing such things, seeing which one is surprised as well as angry. People are ready to go to any extent for views and likes. But playing with someone’s safety and honor in the name of creating content cannot be said to be right at all. A recent case that came to light from Delhi has become an example of this.
Actually, a young man used to deliberately harass girls walking on the road to make videos on social media. His method was very dangerous. He used to go behind the girls’ scooter on the bike and give a light push. Due to this sudden shock, the balance of the scooter could have deteriorated and a major accident could have happened. However, immediately after pushing, he would repeatedly say “Sorry… Sorry… Sorry…” so that the person in front of him would consider it a mistake and leave, but the real game would begin after this. The young man would record a video of this entire incident and then upload it on social media. He thought that people would find it interesting content and his video would get a lot of views. Perhaps he never thought that his actions could have cost someone’s life.
Delhi Police taught a lesson
Women’s safety is already a serious issue in India. In such a situation, such actions are not only irresponsible but also wrong in the eyes of law. Deliberately hitting or scaring a person walking on the road cannot be a part of any joke. This is the reason why after the matter came to light, the police also took it seriously. When the video of this young man went viral on social media, people criticized it fiercely. Many users said that strict action should be taken against such people so that no one else dares to do such things in future. Seeing the matter escalating, Delhi Police also immediately came into action.
DCP West Delhi filed a complaint in this matter and initiated action. The police not only took legal action, but also gave their message in a very interesting manner on social media. Delhi Police shared a video on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, which caught people’s attention. In this video, the famous dialogue ‘Tera to game bajana padega’ from the Bollywood film Phir Hera Pheri was used. In this funny but precise manner, the police made it clear that it is not so easy to escape from the law. The video went viral within no time and people praised this creative initiative of Delhi Police.
This action of Delhi Police has given a clear message that those who play with someone’s safety in the name of going viral on social media will not be spared. It is hoped that after this case, people will understand their responsibilities while creating content and will stay away from such activities. Thousands of people reacted to this post on social media. Someone said that this method of police is a great medium to convey the right message to the youth, while someone wrote that it is necessary for such content creators to learn a lesson in time. Many people also said that if timely action was not taken, such incidents could have increased in future.
