Thousands of videos go viral every day on social media. Some videos are made to make people laugh, some are full of entertainment, while there are many videos which provide new and interesting information. Recently, a similar video related to Russia is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In this video, an Indian travel vlogger goes to a store in Russia and shows the prices of essential items available there.
He specifically tells the prices of water bottles, bananas and other everyday items and compares them with the prices available in India. After watching the video, many people are surprised that the items of common use in Russia are much more expensive than in India. This video has been shared on Instagram with an account named @soni_traveling. At the beginning of the video, the Indian vlogger reaches a small store in Russia.
How expensive is Russia?
He asks for a water bottle from the woman at the counter. However, due to the different languages, the shopkeeper first starts giving him flavored lemon water. The vlogger then explains through gestures and words that he wants normal drinking water, not lemon water. A local Russian woman present with the vlogger understands his point. She immediately picks up a bottle of plain water from the shelf and shows it to the shopkeeper and tells that this is the bottle the customer wants. After this the shopkeeper tells the price of that water, which is 30 rubles.
Hearing this, the vlogger notes the price and continues further purchasing. During this time, the woman present with him also buys four bananas. The shopkeeper tells the price of banana to be around 200 rubles. Apart from this they also take a small pack of curd. After completing all the shopping, both of them come out of the store and then the vlogger gives information about the daily expenses in Russia in front of the camera.
He tells that in Russia a one liter bottle of plain water was available for about 30 rubles. According to Indian currency, its price is around Rs 40. If we talk about India, generally such water bottles are easily available for between Rs 10 to Rs 20. This means that only in the price of water there is a significant difference between the two countries. After this he also mentions the expenditure on bananas and other things. The vlogger says that it cost him around 200 rubles to buy four bananas and a small pack of curd. In Indian rupees this amount comes to around Rs 300. According to him, much more bananas can be bought in India for this much money. In many places, several dozen bananas are easily available for this amount.
In the video, the vlogger also says that many everyday things in Russia feel more expensive than in India. People may have to spend more especially on common things like fruits, packed food and drinking water. This is the reason why if an Indian goes to Russia for the first time, he may be a little surprised to see the prices there. At present, this video of shopping in Russia is being seen a lot on social media. Many users have also given their opinion on this.
