The scorching heat across the country has made life difficult for people. In many cities the temperature has crossed 44 degrees, while people are not able to feel relief even in their homes due to the strong sunlight and humidity. The situation is such that it has become difficult to stay without AC and cooler for some time. Meanwhile, one such home remedy is becoming increasingly viral on social media, which has attracted people’s attention. The special thing is that this Jugaad was prepared at a very low cost and it is being claimed that it reduces the temperature of the roof to a great extent.
In the viral video, a man is seen comfortably standing barefoot on his terrace in the bright afternoon sun. Usually, in summer, the cement roof gets so hot that it becomes difficult to stand on it even for a few seconds. In such a situation, people were surprised after seeing the video. When the person making the video also reaches the terrace, he feels cold instead of heat and immediately asks how this was possible.

On this the owner of the terrace explained his unique method. He said that he had chosen and applied a special type of coating on the roof using binder and waterproofing compound. According to him, this mixture reduced the heat of the roof to a great extent. The person told in detail that to prepare this indigenous technology, about 20 kg of rice, 5 kg of binder and a little waterproof compound were used.
In the video, the guy explains that first of all the lime is kept soaked in water overnight. After this, a thick mixture is prepared by adding binder and waterproofing material to it. This solution is then applied thoroughly as a coating on the entire roof. He claims that after this process the temperature of the roof reduced by about 15 degrees. Not only this, even inside the house it started feeling much cooler than before.

The guy also told that it cost only Rs 800 to 850 to do this coating on about 1000 square feet of roof. People are quite impressed after seeing such an effective solution at such a low cost. In the video he also says that now he does not need to run the cooler or AC continuously like before. Even the ordinary fan has now started giving cool air.
