Although Indian students often get job offers in these companies, but these days the video of a Pakistani girl is going viral, who does internship in Microsoft’s London office and gets a stipend of up to Rs 30 lakh annually. The name of this Pakistani girl is Aliza Uppal.
Actually, this story came into limelight when American based Pakistani content creator Hamza Chishti shared the conversation with Alija Uppal on social media. Hamza himself works as director of cloud and AI at Microsoft. Apart from this, while discussing the recruitment process in Microsoft, Aliza said that ‘Interview experience varies according to the post, but many rounds are conducted continuously. What did Stipend Jaan users say?
As soon as this video of Aliza went viral on social media, different types of reactions started coming on it. While some praised his determination, others said about his stipend that ‘in terms of London, it is not a big amount.’ During placements, students easily earn £24,000, which is equivalent to minimum wage. I think Microsoft should do better than this. Similarly, another user has also written, ‘More than half of his money will be spent on rent in London’.
