The people living there know very well the importance of cold water in summer. Nowadays, refrigerators are present in almost every house, but there was a time when people without electricity and machines used home remedies to keep water cold. Now one such unique method is becoming increasingly viral on social media, which people are surprised to see. In this video it is being claimed that this technology is about 500 years old. Although this claim cannot be confirmed, but looking at it, it can definitely be said that the people of ancient times were far ahead of us in their understanding of nature and science.
The video of this unique desi fridge has been shared by a content creator named Surya Prakash on his social media account. It is shown in the video that a dry and thick trunk of a tree has been erected in the middle of a room. At first glance it looks like an ordinary piece of wood, but the real secret is hidden inside it. Actually, this stem has been hollowed from inside so that it can be filled with water.
How does this work?
The stem is tied firmly with ropes so that it cannot fall. After this, water is poured into it through a small hole made at the top. The most interesting thing is that no modern equipment was used to pour water. Like the old times, an empty plastic bottle has been fitted here in a special way, with the help of which the water reaches directly inside the stem.
It is shown in the video that when water is kept inside this hollow stem for some time, it gradually starts cooling. It is believed that the natural structure of wood and the moisture present inside it helps in reducing the temperature. This is the reason why water gets cooled to a great extent even without electricity.
In this setup, a small tap has also been installed at the bottom. When the water cools down, this tap is opened and it is taken out. In the video, an elderly man is also seen drinking water from this tap. Looking at his style, it seems as if this method is completely normal for him. Perhaps in ancient times, people in villages and desert areas would have arranged for cold water in this manner.
