Today, cab services like Uber and Rapido have become an important part of people’s everyday life. Be it going to office, reaching the airport or traveling anywhere in the city, people book cabs through these apps without thinking much, but have you ever thought that the drivers driving these vehicles also have a story of their own? Most people believe that driving is just a means of earning and people do this work due to compulsion or responsibilities. But everyone’s story is not the same.
Recently, a story that surfaced from Hyderabad has attracted people’s attention on social media. This story proved that if a person wants, he can make his hobby his profession and can also get happiness from it. Hyderabad content creator Chetna Singh shared a video on her social media account. In this video, he made us meet an Uber driver whose thinking and outlook on life is quite different. Chetna wrote along with the video that people often leave their real hobbies behind amidst the expectations and responsibilities of the society. But he found a person who chose the path which gives him true happiness.
What did the guy say?
In the video, Chetna tells that she had booked an Uber cab. During the journey he met driver Kumar. During the conversation, Kumar told some things about his life which surprised even Chetna. Kumar earlier worked in Amazon. Working in a big company is the dream of many people, but Kumar left that job. Many people may be shocked to hear the reason. He left the job because his real hobby was driving. He likes driving and decided that he will do only that which gives him happiness.
Kumar says that when a person does work of his choice, he does not find work a burden. For them, driving a cab is not just a means of transporting people from one place to another, but it is an experience for them which teaches them something new every day. When he was asked what he liked most about this work, he gave a very interesting answer. Kumar told that because of driving he gets a chance to meet people coming from different states and countries.
Every person has his own story, his own experiences and by talking to them he gets to learn a lot. This is what keeps them connected to this work. Apart from this, he also likes to roam on the streets of his favorite city Hyderabad. He believes that while driving he gets to see the city from a new perspective every day. This is the reason why he does this work with all his heart.
