A huge crowd of tourists is often seen on the roads leading to the beautiful valleys and mountains of Uttarakhand. People come from far and wide to enjoy the natural beauty here, but sometimes small carelessness of some people causes harm to the environment. Recently, a video of the road leading to Mussoorie went viral on social media, which forced people to think. In this video, a person in a very calm and intelligent manner stopped some tourists for throwing garbage on the road, and this is what people liked the most.
This video was shared by Anoop Nautiyal, founder of a group working for environmental protection, on his Instagram account @anoop_nautiyal. The video showed that some passengers sitting in a taxi going towards Mussoorie threw a plastic cup and spoon from the moving vehicle on the roadside. Usually people ignore such incidents after seeing them, but Anup did not do so. He stopped his car and decided to talk to those people.

It can be seen in the video that Anoop very calmly points towards the taxi and tells that the passengers have thrown plastic items on the road. He says that spreading garbage like this in the mountains is absolutely wrong and people should understand their responsibility here. He said that keeping the environment clean is not only the job of the government or administration, but every person coming here should think about it.
Anoop explained to them that to maintain the beauty of the mountains, it is important that people become aware and do not spread filth in public places. He expressed hope that tourists will understand their mistake and will not repeat such acts in future. Further in the video, it is seen that after the conversation Anoop returns to his car. When asked whether the tourists accepted their mistake, he said that the tourists accepted their mistake and politely requested them not to do the same again in Uttarakhand.
The most special aspect of this entire video was that Anup Nautiyal did not try to humiliate anyone or embarrass him publicly. In today’s social media era, people often capture someone’s mistake on camera and start trolling him, but Anoop adopted a very balanced and respectful attitude. He clearly said that his aim is not to humiliate anyone, but to spread awareness among the people.
