Recently living with her family in Chennai south korean woman Such a ‘culture shock’ in a cinema (Culture Shock), which he had not expected even in his dreams. social media But the experience of this foreign woman is now becoming increasingly viral.

What is the whole matter?

South Korean vlogger Jung Ae (Jung Ae) Recently went to watch a movie in a multiplex with her two sons. In the beginning everything seemed normal to him. The ticket counter, big posters of the film and the smell of popcorn were exactly the same as in their country South Korea. Apart from the security check at the time of entry, he did not notice any major difference. But the real twist came in the middle of the film.

Suddenly the lights came on, it felt like an emergency had come!

Jung Ae told that while watching the movie, suddenly the screen went completely black and all the lights in the theater came on. Not only this, people sitting in the theater suddenly got up from their seats and started running out. Seeing this, Jang Ae was horrified. This never happens in Korean theaters, so they thought that maybe some major problem had happened in the theater or some emergency situation had occurred. But within a few moments, when she understood the matter, she could not stop laughing. Actually, that was not a threat, but the ‘interval’ of the film.

What is the difference between the cinema of South Korea and India?

Jung Ae explained in her video that in South Korea, no matter how long a movie is, it is shown continuously without any break. If someone has to go to the washroom, he gets up quietly and leaves without disturbing the screen.

In contrast, in India, a special break is given between the two parts of the film so that the audience can rest, go to the washroom or buy popcorn and snacks again. Jung Ae admitted that initially she found this method a bit strange, but now she has become a fan of this interval system of Indian cinema and considers it better.

Debate broke out on the internet: leisure or just business?

As soon as this video of Jang Ae was shared on social media, it went viral and an interesting debate has arisen on it. One side says that it is very important for the audience to get a break in the middle of a 3-hour film so that they can stretch comfortably. The other side considers it a business model of cinema halls. He says that the interval is kept only so that the sales of expensive popcorn, cold drinks and snacks can be increased.
