A video of Vietnam airport is going viral on social media these days. viral is happening, which has affected people’s behavior and civic sense in public places (Civic Sense) has started a new debate on the internet. This debate started when an Indian man living in South Korea shared a video on his Instagram account.
What’s in the video?
In this video going viral, many Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese passengers are seen sitting on the floor at the airport and some people are seen eating food. The person who made the video says that this was a scene just before his flight to South Korea.
Question raised on double standards
The person who shared the video argued that if an Indian had been sitting on the floor in the same manner, he would have been immediately criticized on the internet and his civic sense would have been questioned. He said, if someone is not able to find a place to sit at the airport or is hungry, then there is nothing wrong in sitting on the ground or eating food. This does not mean at all that the person lacks civic sense.
Public opinion divided on social media
After this video went viral, social media users are divided into two groups. While some people seemed to completely agree with this, some gave it a different perspective. One user commented, it is just a matter of compulsion or choice. However, many users also believe that Indians are often at the forefront in criticizing their own people.
On the other hand, some users said that it is not just about sitting on the ground. One user said, Indians are criticized because sometimes they do not take care of the inconvenience of others, like talking loudly, spreading garbage or not following the rules. Another user pointed out that the foreigners seen in the video are sitting very peacefully and without making any noise, and this is the real civic sense. At present this video remains a topic of discussion on the internet.
