These days, an emotional video of 80-year-old Bhagwan Mallik is winning people’s hearts on social media. In this video, he is seen sitting on the roadside footpath in Kolkata and playing his 40 year old and broken violin. At this stage of his age, his eyes are also not the same as before, but his passion for music has not diminished even today. This is the reason why he earns around Rs 100 every day with the help of his violin to support himself and his wife.
Bhagwan Mallik’s life has been full of struggles. He lost his parents in his childhood itself. His father taught him to play the violin and it was because of him that he got his first introduction to music. After the death of his father, this art became the support of life for him. Circumstances changed with time, but he never left music.
Viral video changed fate
Today, even at the age of 80, Bhagwan Mallik sits on the streets of Kolkata every evening with his old violin. People walking on the road stop for some time and listen to their tune and move ahead after giving them some money as per their wish. Whatever they earn after a day’s hard work is used to meet the expenses of their household. His wife also often sits with him and encourages him in every difficult moment.
Recently a passerby recorded his video and shared it on social media. Within no time this video reached thousands of people. People praised Bhagwan Mallik for his simplicity, hard work and dedication towards music. The eyes of those watching the video became moist and everyone started talking about helping him.
This video also caught the attention of the country’s well-known businessman Anand Mahindra. After watching the video, he shared a post on his official X account and wrote that Bhagwan Mallik’s music and his passion have impressed him a lot. He said that he also wants to help this artist and is confident that there will be many people who will join him in this noble cause.
However, Anand Mahindra also said that no address or contact information of Lord Mallik was given in the viral video. Therefore, he appealed to the social media users that if anyone has correct information about this elderly artist, then they should definitely share it, so that financial help can be easily provided to them.
The story of Bhagwan Mallik proves that true dedication and hard work are not dependent on age. No matter how difficult the circumstances are, if a person has confidence in his skills, then one day his voice definitely reaches the people.
