Video: Unique turtle with snake-like neck, leaves ‘invisible weapon’ to escape from hunters

Nowadays, a video of a unique turtle is creating quite a stir on social media. Seeing this video, netizens are saying the same thing whether it is a turtle or a snake? We all have seen turtles with short necks, but this one viral clip The turtle seen here has such a long neck that at first glance anyone would mistake it for a snake. For this reason it is called ‘snake-neck turtle’ (Snake-necked Turtle) They say.

This video has been shared on Instagram on an account named @thereptilezoo. In the viral clip, a woman is holding a turtle in her hand and telling about it. The woman tells that its neck is not only long but also very agile. It attacks and captures its prey in the blink of an eye, just like a snake. The snake-neck turtle can live both in water and on land.

Where is it found?

It is mainly found in Papua New Guinea and Australia. According to reports, this turtle can grow up to about 11 inches. Its neck is more than half the length of its entire shell. Leaves ‘invisible weapon’ to escape from hunters

The most surprising feature of this turtle is its self-defense system. Whenever it senses a predator or danger, it releases a liquid called musk from its body, which is so foul smelling that the predator gets disturbed by its foul smell and runs away leaving the turtle. For this reason it is also called stinking turtle.
