Denmark’s legendary footballer Christian Eriksen fell on the field and became unconscious during the international friendly match being played against Ukraine. This incident happened in the 66th minute of the match, after which the match had to be cancelled. When the match was cancelled, the Danish team was leading 2-1. When Ericsson became unconscious, he kept his hand on his chest. A team of doctors immediately reached the field to help the Danish midfielder. This sudden incident that happened during the match increased the concern of the fans, their fellow players and the rest of the team members. However, shortly after the incident, Danish team doctor Morten Boesen issued a statement saying that Christian Eriksen’s health is fine now.

Christian Eriksen faints again, has suffered a heart attack
Christian Eriksen suffered a heart attack 5 years ago, due to which he stayed away from football for almost one and a half years. He suffered cardiac arrest during the Euro 2020 played in the year 2021. In June 2021, that European Championship match was being played between Denmark and Finland in Copenhagen. The Denmark midfielder was then provided CPR and other essentials before being taken to the hospital.

Why did Christian faint? Investigation continues in the hospital
The incident of Christian Eriksen falling unconscious occurred on Sunday, June 7, on which team doctor Morten Boesen has now given an update. He said that Ericsson had fainted for a few moments. But then he regained consciousness. He also walked out of the ground himself. Christian was being examined in the hospital to find out why he fainted. The Danish team doctor further said that he is in constant touch with Christian and the hospital doctor. Christian is fine now.

Did not qualify for FIFA World Cup 2026
Neither Denmark nor Ukraine has qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2026. But, the friendly match being played between them, which was an important part of their preparation for the upcoming international matches, was cancelled.
