Actually, in this video which is spreading rapidly on social media, an alleged priest of Tunganath temple is seen trying to explain to the people the religious importance of Chandrashila. In the video, he is seen clearly saying that Chandrashila should not be seen only as a tourist spot. According to the elder, this place is not just a center of natural beauty but also a holy place associated with deep religious faith and traditions.

What did the priest say?

The alleged priest tells in the video that Chandrashila situated above the Tunganath temple is considered to have a special connection with the ancestors. According to religious beliefs, this place is an important center of respect and remembrance of ancestors. He said that whenever priests associated with the temple or people performing religious functions go there, they reach there barefoot and their aim is only to perform worship and religious rituals.

In the video, he requested the passengers to understand the dignity and sanctity of this place. He said that it is not right to consider Chandrashila only as a means of sightseeing, taking photographs or entertainment. He appealed to the people to respect religious sentiments and local traditions when they reach here.
