Acting President Delsey Rodriguez has confirmed the country-shaking news that the airport infrastructure has been completely destroyed. Now it is impossible to operate any flight from there.

According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), this was not a minor earthquake. The first quake was of 7.2 magnitude and exactly 39 seconds later a second quake of 7.5 magnitude occurred. These double shocks not only the airport but also the big luxurious buildings of the capital Caracas fell to the ground like a deck of cards.
