Vastu Tips For kitchen: Never let these 5 things run out completely in the kitchen, otherwise Goddess Lakshmi may get angry!

July 4, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Vastu Tips For Wealth And Prosperity: In Sanatan tradition, the kitchen of the house is not just considered a place for cooking but is considered the most sacred part of the house. The kitchen is said to be the abode of Mother Annapurna, who is directly related to Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth. According to Vastu Shastra and Hindu beliefs, some items kept in the kitchen are symbols of happiness, prosperity and blessings of the house. It is often seen that people bring new items from the market only when the container is completely empty, but the rules of Vastu say that certain kitchen items should never be completely exhausted. If these things are missing, then Vaastu defects appear in the house and Goddess Lakshmi gets angry, due to which one may have to face financial crisis. Let us know which are those 5 things, which should be refilled only when there is little left in the box.

Rice

Rice is considered very auspicious in Hindu religion. Akshat i.e. rice is used in every auspicious work, from worship to prayer. There is a religious belief that completely running out of rice in the kitchen is not considered a good sign. Therefore, always keep some rice in the box and fill it with new rice before it runs out. By doing this there is no shortage of food and money in the house.

Flour

Flour is one of the most essential food items in the house. It is believed that letting the flour finish completely is considered disrespect to Goddess Annapurna. Therefore, when the flour starts decreasing, only then bring new flour into the house. It is believed that due to this there is never shortage of food in the family and happiness and prosperity remains.

Salt

Salt not only enhances the taste of food, but in Vastu Shastra it is also considered to remove negative energy. It is considered inauspicious for the salt container in the kitchen to be completely empty. Therefore keep filling it from time to time. It is believed that this maintains a positive environment in the house and reduces financial problems.

Turmeric

Turmeric is considered a symbol of auspiciousness, good fortune and prosperity. It has special use in worship, marriage and many religious rituals. If turmeric is completely exhausted in the kitchen, it is not considered auspicious.

Lentils

Pulses are considered an important part of nutrition and food. According to religious belief, complete absence of pulses in the kitchen is considered a sign of economic imbalance and food shortage. Therefore, a small quantity of pulses should always be kept in the house.
