Ilyas further said that in some states ucc Concern was also expressed over this. It seems like the Muslim community is being targeted. People from BJP and people in power are involved in hate speeches.
Attempt to create vote bank by targeting specific community
He said that efforts are being made to create a vote bank by targeting a particular community. We have decided that we will prepare a detailed document on demolition, lynching etc. and we will release it soon.
He said that we will launch a nationwide campaign, for which a committee has been formed. There will be programs taking together those who want peace in the country. There will be trips, there will be conventions. The Working Committee has also expressed concern that secular parties are not playing the role they should have played.
Will be challenged in court
Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas said that wherever UCC is implemented, it will be challenged in the High Court and if necessary, will also go to the Supreme Court.
He said that our objection to Vande Mataram is not only because it is a part of Anand Math but it is about worshiping Gods and Goddesses and it conflicts with the principle of monotheism in Islam.
He said that standing in honor of the national anthem is not wrong, but making its singing mandatory conflicts with the Constitution and is wrong. Just yesterday the Calcutta High Court’s decision came that it is not mandatory for Muslims to study.
