
After Ayodhya’s Ram temple, now alleged irregularities in the management of offerings and donations in the famous Badrinath Dham of Uttarakhand have come to light. On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, a three-member high-level committee has been formed to investigate the matter. The committee has been instructed to submit its investigation report and recommendations to the government within 15 days.
According to the information, the chairman of the three-member high level committee will be Commissioner Garhwal Mandal. Managing Director of National Health Mission (NHM) Sandeep Tiwari and Director (Finance) of the Office of the Director General Medical and Health Department Jagat Singh Chauhan have been made members of the committee.
Committee will submit report within 15 days
According to the order issued by Secretary Tourism Dhiraj Singh Garbyal, the committee will conduct a detailed investigation into the alleged irregularities related to donations and offerings received in the temple and submit its investigation report and recommendations to the government within 15 days.
The committee will be able to seek cooperation and advice
If needed during the investigation, the committee will also be able to take assistance and advice from any officer, expert or other concerned person. Besides, the committee will also inform the government about the necessary corrective measures and suggestions to make the donation management system more transparent, accountable and effective. The objective of this committee, formed on the instructions of the Chief Minister, is to strengthen transparency and public trust in the system by investigating the matter impartially.
BKTC suspended personal assistant
Meanwhile, Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) has suspended with immediate effect Pramod Nautiyal, personal assistant posted in the president’s office, who was surrounded by allegations. This action was taken when a team of four members on Tuesday started investigating alleged irregularities in the management of donations at Badrinath Dham. BKTC Chairman Hemant Dwivedi said that Pramod Nautiyal was suspended after initial investigation indicated irregularities.
BKTC had constituted a 4-member inquiry committee
Last week, after allegations of alleged irregularities in donations and offerings at Badrinath Dham surfaced on social media, Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) had constituted a four-member inquiry committee. In this, Finance Controller Hem Kandpal, Law Officer S.S. Bartwal, Chief Administrative Officer Rajan Naithani and Senior Administrative Officer of Kedarnath D.S. Bhujwan was included.
